Game Played

Had my third game of 6th this week and it was really good. Stand out thing for me:
Glancing to death a Rhino, this was awesome, of course I lost
So what have a learnt from this, the game is more intuitive and feel no pain is no longer an auto include.
So what does this mean
I will try out Sternguard and take Dante to have scoring 2+ save

I have painted one unit of devastators with heavy bolters but have just bought a model to convert to Dante and got a weeks holiday so pics should be coming

Eldar Alliance

So here is 2 of my Eldar banshees with and 2 different Autarch will hopefully show more pics of them soon. One with Fusion Blaster who started as a Fire Dragon

Below is another Captain for the Lamenters based of the High Marshal so he will be Captain of the First. Guess who is the Xenos hugger.

6th Update

So yesterday I had my second game of 6th Edition 40k. Was a brilliant game and also two new people came to the club so we all learnt together. This seems to be the jist of the next few weeks so. I am hoping to add some Eldar allies to my Lamenters and am painting Howling Banshees at the moment pics to come soon.

Duel to the Death

So one of my favorite categories for the Golden Daemon has always been the Duel as this gives the modeler the chance to make more of the world than a unit or single figure.

Here is mine

The story is that the elf has gone down into the Mines of Moria to cull the goblins that are becoming a problem, his friends are dead and while trying to find his way out he is set upon by a warg riding chieftain

 

Malifaux and other things

The club that I game at has started to get into the Wyrd game Malifaux.
I got into the Arcanists back when the game was beta tested and Rasputina has always been my favorite.
I painted these models ages ago so have recently re-painted Rasputina and also added some more models. I am hoping to get Sue in the next few days.

The first picture is my crew of the winter dance. The second is a commission for one of my friends.
He wanted the crew to be painted like the artwork on the picture behind them.

Dark Elves and the Undead

For a few years I have realised that I am really more into skirmish wargaming.
However most of the skirmish wargames are a bit prescriptive with their setting or i am not keen on the combat system.
So I will be trying to come up with a rules system I like, and using these models as my warband.

So, the question is what do like?
I like intergrated turns these can either like lord of the rings or infinity.
I like rolling few dice may be one two or three.
I like coming up with my own or collaborative backstory therefore campaigns and an easily factored in campaign system is neccessary

Lamenting the Wars

So the Flawless Host has been shelved for a bit (hence the name of the blog).
Been working on the Lamenters'. The idea is that the chapter got a bit of a kicking by the Minotaurs and so they are a bit top heavy with a lack of full companies therefore officers will be given command of a strike force so here for your pleasure are the captains of the fifth and tenth. (Think that is right)

In other news been re-reading the Darkblade series so expect something from that. :-)
